ONTHE OUTSIDE
HARRIER► BRIEF,
for his brown coat reminiscent of a harrier bird.
A tall brown tabby tom with green eyes.
► APPEARANCE,
A rather tall and willowy fellow Harrierfoot seems to fit right in with the moor cats. He stands taller than most of his clanmates, but due to his build it isn't much of a plus. He is his mother's son in build, and can often be mistaken for a she-cat from far away. His long narrow face has sharp features, with large ears and deep green eyes. His body does not look as sturdy, and is built more for speed than taking punches. Everything about him is long and spindly.
Harrierfoot has short fur that sticks close to his body, not giving him much in the way of protection against the cold. The tom runs to keep his blood boiling during the colder months, but can sometimes become lethargic due to the chill (especially at night and in the mornings). While he received his feminine build from his mother, he did receive the handsome tabby coat of his father. Light yet rich shades of brown cover his body with white along his muzzle. He has distinct mackerel tabby markings running down his body. Harrierfoot has received many scars, but the most noticeable are the nicks in his ears, and a long shoulder scar on his right side.
ONTHE INSIDE
FOOT► TRAITS,
for his quickness and agility on the moors
Positive
amiable l cooperative l observant
Neutral
assertive l skeptical
Negative
insecure l volatile l vengeful
► PERSONALITY,
Harrierfoot is a determined warrior who likes to put up a confident front so no one sees his insecurities. He's a friendly cat despite the calm and unchanging demeanor he tries to display. He'll always lend an ear to your troubles, or back you up when you need it. He likes to be around others, and hates being alone even while hunting. He works best as a supporter, and likes to be collaborative with others to reach his goals. He knows he isn't the strongest cat on the moors, and would rather support his clanmates in battle, rather than take on an opponent alone. Harrierfoot is observant of his surroundings, and likes to take mental notes of what is going on around him.
The tom has a very assertive and dominating personality, only fed by growing up as the first born of his litter. Often times he'll push around more reclusive and meek individuals unknowingly. He is always determined to do his best, but sometimes goes overboard. Harrierfoot is decisive, and he often speaks his mind. He is skeptical of strangers, especially loners and rogues. While he feels it is wise to not trust someone he just met, he often comes off as hostile to cats he doesn't know. Once his trust is broken it is difficult to rebuild.
Harrierfoot is insecure about his own abilities, and feels sub-par despite what he wants you to believe. He hates to be compared to others and can be easily frustrated when his own shortcomings come to light. He tries hard to mask his problems with a happy face. He is ruled by his emotions, and although he is intelligent Harrierfoot listens to his heart more than his head. Cruel words can easily hit their mark, and he has a hard time reigning himself in. He relies heavily on others to keep himself in check. He wants to be stronger and more in control, especially like his deceased father. He holds grudges against those that wronged him. He is unforgiving and relentless in his vengeance. He won't rest until you face justice, and will hunt you down if you resist. He knows that even if he's not strong enough to take you on by himself, he has other means to get his revenge. He is not an evil cat, but is a good one that sometimes makes bad decisions.

AHISTORY
Harrierkit was born in a litter of three to two rather plain Windclan cats. His parents Weaselstrike and Sorrelnose were nothing to write home about, but they helped to support their clan and hoped their kits would to. The parents loved their kits, and often took them around camp to visit the elders and returning warriors. Harriekit spent most of his time with his siblings, as no other kits were around in the nursery. They spent their time making up imaginary adventures, racing, and ambushing unsuspecting passerby's.
At six moons old Harrierkit became an apprentice with his siblings, becoming Harrierpaw and receiving the she-cat Ryefur as his mentor. She focused hard on his speed, having watched him and his siblings play fight when in the nursery. Ryefur knew he would never be a great fighter on his own, despite the protest of the young tom. He wanted to be strong like his father and siblings, and disliked how weak he was compared to them. Harrierpaw knew he was exceptionally skilled at hunting due to his speed, but it wasn't good enough for him. He challenged apprentices daily to fights, and more often than not lost. With each loss his insecurities grew. Would he even become a warrior if he couldn't fight?
Whinchatpaw had a plan. He had heard from his mentor that a hawk had made its nest on their territory. He proposed that all three of them should go and destroy the nest. Harrierpaw thought it was a great idea. It would show his strength to the clan, and the leader would have to make them warriors. Fritillarypaw decided to stay back, not wanting to anger her mentor by sneaking out. The two brothers set off, and soon found the nest with a sleeping hawk in it. Of course being young cats, they didn't think their plan through very well. It backfired horribly, and the hawk fought against the two inexperienced apprentices. The brothers were lost in a tangle of claws and feathers, Harrierpaw knowing for sure this was his last night. However his life was saved by a patrol, his sister had warned her mentor of what they were doing and had sent warriors to stop them. Harrierpaw blacked out during the journey back, and woke up days later in the medicine cat's den. His brother Whinchatpaw had died the night previous, buried by his parents and sister. Harrierpaw was devastated by the choice he had made. He had thanked his sister, knowing that he would have been dead as well if it wasn't for her. He spent the next few moons healing, wounds turning into fresh scars. While many were hidden underneath his fur, one stood out along his shoulder.
After a few moons of recovery Harrierpaw went back to training, eventually receiving his warrior name of Harrierfoot at fourteen moons old. He joined his sister, now Fritillaryheart, as a warrior and his new life. With his new found freedom Harrierfoot spent the majority of his time hunting and patrolling with his friends and family. Life was simple for the most part, Windclan had its share of struggles, but always managed to pull through. At twenty four moons old he received an apprentice. From a litter of two he received a young tom named Ploverpaw. His apprentice was close to his sibling Thistlepaw, and so Harrierfoot made sure to often double up with the young she-cat's apprentice during training. He saw the shy Ploverpaw come out of his shell whenever his more spirited sister was around. He also found himself learning by example with Thistlepaw's mentor, a more experienced tom named Harefur. It wasn't long until Ploverpaw and his sister to become warriors, and they grew to become close friends of Harrierfoot.
As the moons wore on Thistletail became more than a friend to the warrior, and they soon became mates. They spent many happy moons together, although at the cost of his friendship with his previous apprentice. As Harrierfoot spent more time with Thistletail, the more her brother was pushed into the background. Soon his mate was carrying kits, and Harrierfoot tried to include his friend into their growing family with varying results. He spent the majority of his time hunting or checking in at the nursery until one day Thistletail gave birth to two kits. Hickorykit and Cuckookit completed his perfect family, and for awhile he was content with his life. But, Cuckookit fell to greencough early on in life, leaving only Hickorykit for the two to care for. Soon after Hickorykit became an apprentice, and Thistletail came back to the warriors den. One day she didn't return, and when Harrierfoot went to search for her he found her dead by the border. No one knew who killed her, the attack being an ambush that had taken her out quickly. Harrierfoot was reminded of the death of his brother, and once again felt the crushing guilt of not being there to save her. With both the death of his daughter and mate Harrierfoot clung to the last remaining shred of his family, his son. He is fearful of the world and all its dangers, especially now with the alliance closing in. He lives every day for his clan and son, and hopes that he will not fail in protecting them.
