Stats AND ALIGNMENTS
▼
Here in Rise Up, we use our own version of a stat and alignment system! STATS keep a character from becoming too OP. You have full control over the spread of your stats, but think them over very carefully! A cat with a ton of strength but no aspects of agility or defense will be destroyed in a fight- they'd never take a hit! So take your time, and make sure your stats are just how YOU want them.
Alignments dictate your character's level of GOOD and BAD. They help us, the staff, see where your character fits on the spectrum, just incase we need some baddies or goody-four-paws to take up special roles.
Lawful good- Lawful good characters follow the rules and usually strongly believe in them. They usually want to make the word a better place, and while they all have flaws- few of them are truly selfish or willing to sacrifice others for their own benefit.
Examples: Snowwhite, Whitestorm, Stonefur
Neutral good- Neutral good are characters with good moral beliefs who, usually, follow the rules. They're just good people, even if they're not striving to change the world and make it a better place.
Examples: Greystripe, Mistyfoot, John Watson
Chaotic good- Chaotic good have good intentions, but that doesn't mean they follow the rules. In fact, chaotic goods are more likely to be rulebreakers who do what they do for the best of everyone.
Examples: Hollyleaf, Leopardstar, Swiftpaw
Lawful neutral- Even if they don't agree with the rules, lawful neutral characters will follow them. Their opinions may differ with their leaders or the world around them, but they still believe rules and order is important.
Examples: Longtail, Sandstorm, Dustpelt
True neutral- True neutral characters can see things both ways. They might have swayed loyalties, or just be apathetic to the problems in the world. True neutrals are unpredictable- you never know if they'll become lawful or chaotic when provoked
Examples: Blackstar, Onestar, Clearsky
Chaotic neutral- Chaotic neutrals tend to... well, cause chaos. They might not care which side 'wins', as long as they benefit from it. They're probably willing to break rules and justify bad behavior
Example- Darkstripe, Crowfeather, Breezepelt
Lawful evil- Lawful evil cats want to get ahead of the competition. They follow the rules, and often use the rules and underhanded methods to manipulate others
Examples: Sol, Thistleclaw
Neutral evil- Neutral evil characters have no rules and usually don't care who they hurt, as long as it benefits themselves. They probably aren't purposely inflicting pain on others, it just happens as a result of their actions.
Examples: Scourge, Bone, Hawkfrost
Chaotic evil- Some cats just want to watch the world burn, and those characters are chaotic evil. They like the chaos, they like the pain they can cause, and they're out to destroy as much of the world as possible. Or at least, something like that.
Examples: The joker, One-eye
Strength(STR)- Strength is your character's total power. If they have lots of strength, they're probably muscular and large, and they're able to hit hard. Strength affects the power behind attacks and how much your character can carry or drag.
Speed(SPD)- Your character's maximum speed. This is how fast your character can move when they really need to up and get going. If you're in a chase, be it away from or after something, speed can determine if you escape or make a catch
Agility(AGY)- Agility is your ability to move quickly and on a dime. While a cat may be very fast, they may also be large and unable to stop and twist around, or duck, or move out of the way, as quickly as an agile cat. This can effect how well you hit in close-quarters, and your ability to dodge an opponent when given warning
Reflex(RFX)- Reflexes are how quickly you subconsciously react to a threat or a target. If a cat takes a swing at your face, reflex lets you duck out of the way before you even realize it- or pounce at the mouse before you even register that it's about to flee. Reflexes are not always good- cats with too much reflex tend to flinch or shy away in a fight, making them vulnerable
Endurance(END)- Endurance is a cat's pain tolerance and how much sickness they can withstand and still function. A cat with little endurance might be taken out of comission by whitecough or a simple bellyache. Lots of endurance lets you take hits in a fight without faltering.
Vitality(VIT)- Vitality is how much energy a cat has. How long they can fight and run without tiring. To last a long time in a fight, you need a good mix of VIT and END.
Resilience(RES)- Resilience allows a cat to recover from strong hits, sicknesses, and injuries quicker. It's your ability to bounce back, to heal up. Cats with low resilience may be constantly sickly or with wounds and sores that refuse to heal
Willpower(WIP)- Willpower is a cat's will to continue even when in pain or being persuaded otherwise by clanmates. Strongwilled cats are likely more stubborn and set in their ways.
Intelligence(INT)- Intelligence is a cat's simple knowledge about the world around them. It's what makes a cat knowledgeable. But keep in mind, intelligence ISNT common sense.
Wisdom(WIS)- Wisdom is a cat's common sense and experience. While intelligence might be knowing a tomato is a fruit, wisdom is knowing ketchup isn't a smoothie.
Perception(PER)- Cats with high perception are more alert of their surroundings. This doesn't mean they have better senses then others, they're simply more detail orientated and more likely to pick up subtle changes that others would not.
A character's base stats upon starting are decided by their age, and they can gain stats throughout their life! The base stats are-
As you Roleplay your character, you have a chance to earn stats! For every thread you finish, you get TWO stats to assign your character, and +1 stat for every post you made in that thread! The stats added must be relevant to your character's action in that thread. If you're just sharing tongues, you cant gain endurance or vitality, but you might gain intelligence or wisdom!
