For her dark-brown pelt
A dark brown tabby molly with green eyes
► APPEARANCE
Boarstar is the perfect example of a dark brown broken-mackeral tabby. Her fur is plush, soft tans ticked with brown and black, and her entire pelt is luxuriously striped, struck through with pitch black stripes. Lighter creams surround her muzzle and belly.
Her eyes are green and her features broad and thick. She's powerful in build, clearly made and bred for her life as a warrior. Powerful, stocky limbs allow the molly exceptional strength, and her barrel-like body is tough and muscular. Her fur and pattern offers perfect camouflage for her dark home. Big eyes allow excellent night vision and rough, dark pawpads protect her feet on even the roughest of stones. Plush fur allows the perfect insulation from the cold, and long whiskers and a short tail allow adequate balance.
Boarstar's body shows every sign of an old cat's aging. She's missing an ear and is blind in one eye, the white cataract a sure sign. Her hind right leg suffered a nasty series of bites that's left the leader with a permanent limp, and her tail has a kink near the end.

► PERSONALITY,
Well, when you first meet this cat, there's absolutely no missing her outward confidence. She seems like a sturdy, unshakable, confident force. She's clearly proud, striding with her head high and ears up. Once you get to know Boarstar better, you start to see her more personal traits. She's bossy, she's extremely passive aggressive. and she's fiercely protective over her Clanmates and honestly, is prickly enough you should probably watch yourself whenever you're around her.
The most obvious trait of this cat his her pride. She's unbelievably proud of her position as a leader, and of her work and skill she's put into the clan. This pride is blatant and she's not afraid to flaunt it.
She's hard working and a perfectionist. Boar won't rest until every patrol has been sent out, borders marked, dens cleaned and kill stocked. Then she'll go over it all once more, just to be sure it's just the way she wants it. She hardly has a break and she keeps herself busy- or at least, this was true in her younger years. Now that she's aged and struggles with arthritis, she's let her Medicine Cat and Deputy pick up some of her slack.
Patient and passive aggressive, this molly actually angers quite easily- but she has incredible self control. She won't seem too upset, besides a few under-handed burns. It takes a whole lot to actually break her into a rage, and once you do, you better be careful, because there might not be anyone willing to interrupt this burly molly once she gets her tail into a twist.
Bossy, Boar's way is the only right way. Don't even try it. Also, go do this- don't question it, did you just roll your eyes? This cat has no problem dealing out orders and you better have a quick set of paws and a good excuse if you dare to defy them. She's headstrong and stubborn, and there's probably no debating her.
Dishonest, Boarstar will admit that there have been plenty of times she's lied, white lies and bigger ones. In her mind, as long as the lies don't harm another cat, there's nothing wrong with them. She also picks and chooses when to follow the warrior's code.
Optimistic, in her own, strange sort of way- Boar believes that most of life is out of the clan's paws, and believes that instead of grieving you need to pick yourself up and just try harder. There's nothing we can do to really change fate, so why sit and mope over it? Just get over it and get back to work. As you can probably guess, she doesn't tolerate whiners very well.
She's a hypocrite. She tends to preach one thing and do another. Strive for peace- but somebody crossed the border, time for revenge.
And last of all, Boarstar is courageous. No matter the risk, or the situation, she's willing to fling herself into danger for a clanmate. It might be unpopular, and she'd rather not- but one also has to consider the phrase "In order to save a life, sometimes you have to take one". Boarstar is 100% committed to either dieing or killing a cat if that's what it takes to save a clan-mate.

AHISTORY
0 Moons- Boarkit is born beside Tallkit, to Tigerclaw and Oakfoot. Tigerclaw and Oakfoot are notoriously strong and skilled ShadowClan warriors.
1 Moons- Boarkit opens her eyes for the first time
3 Moons- Boarkit and Tallkit are talking, and both are extremely loud, boisterous kits.
6 Moons- Boarkit and Tallkit are made apprentices. Boarpaw's mentor is a young, energetic and inexperienced she-cat, and Tallpaw gets a more experienced mentor. The two's competition begins.
9 Moons- Boarpaw gets in her first actual fight and helps her mentor chase off a rogue. She's extremely proud and rubs her new ear-nick in her brother's face.
12 Moons- Boarpaw and Tallpaw get their warrior names, Boarstrike and Tallclaw. Their vigils occur uneventfully
15 Moons- Boarstrike follows the deputy into battle, leaping into the fray after a larger warrior. She's far too confident in her own abilities, and is beaten into a pulp before she finally swallows down her pride and retreats.
20 Moons and Boar has finally fully recovered from in injuries in the fight.
21 Moons- A young tom catches Boarstar's eye. He's a burly, russet and ginger tom, and Boar begins to tease and harass him on a daily basis. The two grow close over the next few moons.
22 Moons- Boarstrike is given her first apprentice, a spirited little cat named Tinypaw
29 Moons- Tinypaw is made a warrior, given the name Tinystorm.
30 Moons- When Boarstrike is diagnosed as pregnant she's taken aback and just a touch bitter towards the tom who wasn't even her mate, technically. Socially anyway. She never tells him if the kittens are his, rather lets him just stew over it and avoids his questions.
34 Moons- Boarstrike births her litter, bearing a single, healthy she-cat, whom she names Minkkit. Boarstrike isn't exactly the best mother, but she tries her hardest.
40 Moons- At 40 Moons, Boarstrike has only just watched her daughter be apprenticed when she's made deputy.
45 Moons- Boarstrike follows Cloudstar's lead into battle, acting as a tank as she moves from opponent to opponent- attacking already weakened enemies to put them out of the fight. Unfortunately, despite her efforts, her clan begins to fall back and Boarstrike is forced to follow.
50 Moons- Boarstrike leads her own ambush against a WindClan patrol, and through reinforcements arrive for both sides. ShadowClan emerges victorious and takes the strip of land back.
52 Moons- Boarstrike's leader passes away to blackcough, and after recovering is especially weak. While on a walk out in the territory, Cloudstar is struck down by a fox. Boarstrike is upset at the news, though more because she's expected to be; she and the old tom were never close friends.
58 Moons- Boarstar gives herself another apprentice, a young cat named Tansypaw.
60 Moons- Boarstar loses her first life during a hunting trip on the strip of moorland. A massive eagle swoops down on the large cat. The initial hit snaps her neck as the eagle slams all it's weight and momentum into the back of her head. Luckily her apprentice and a warrior hunting nearby fend the bird off long enough for Boar to wake up and flee.
68 Moons- Tansypaw graduates to Tansytail
70 Moons- Another life is lost when Boarstar is tackled by two WindClan warriors. Though they don't kill her, after she escapes her injuries are too grave and bleed too profusely, and she dies in the medicine cat den.
78 Moons- Boarstar picks a fight with a ThunderClan patrol along the thunderpath. A fight ensues, and one of the ThunderClan warriors is accidentally struck and killed by a monster. Though Boar will never admit it, she feels immense guilt and still remembers the half-crushed warrior's screams before they died.
85 Moons- Boarstrike stumbles too close to the badger's set while investigating the sour smell. She knew he lived there, but despite her age she'd yet to actually SEE a badger. She tries to escape, fleeing back to ShadowClan territory, but the creature gives chase. She's terribly mauled and loses a life to her injuries
94 Moons- A flood of ThunderClan cats come seeking shelter, and though Boarstar is clearly PEEVED by this change of plans, she grudgingly offers them shelter if they agree to hunt and help patrol. She bickers constantly with ThunderClan's leader.
96 Moons- RiverClan follows suit, being chased out after challenging and taunting the Alliance. Boarstar immediately wants to strike back, though after a few days of considering she realizes this might be a bad idea. Rather, Boar sits back and begins to plot ways to figure out the rogue's weaknesses.
100 Moons- Boar feels more aches and pains in her joints, and begins to let more and more cats take over her duties, preferring to bask and rest.
