Yellowtail, the mother of this fellow, was famous for her heroic bravery and unmatched skill. Most of those in the clans feared the dawn-hued she-cat and respected her hand in hand. This diluted tortoiseshell specimen's reputation was known well and envied.


Her difficult heart bid on only one tom in the clans despite all those who admired the gray feline. Applestar was her soul-mate; her first love who would never choose her back. And her best friend Clovertail betrayed her trust to become his mate instead. It was a pain that tore her fragile and delicate heart into the void of space left by night's grim passing. 

Unable to bare the betrayal she withdrew from the clan to the cats of Windclan's true horror. Where she lived no one knew and what she did was a mystery for only but the stars to discover if they wished in their hearts.

Moons later the heavily pregnant dilute she-cat returned to her ex-friends in the middle of the night. There she gave birth to one, small gray male kitten. And then she died.

The young adolescent was given to care by another queen in nursing. Hollyfang had hated and envied the famous Yellowtail for leaving; the evil in her heart remained fixated on Stormkit as an outlet.

It was no wonder every kit knew his weird upbringing and treated him different. But he grew quickly to spite them and became exactly what they didn't expect.

Stormkit was a loner in a lot of ways as an adolescent. He spent most of his time trailing warriors and learning early moves. He would practice on leaves and tails.

The young slate-hued gentleman climbed to the top of the leader's rock in camp and met Clovertail. She told him all about Yellowtail and why she left. He was shocked and angry that the rumors the others had told him were true. The kit vowed to avoid the leader's white-pelted mate in the future.

He continued to try to train hard and grow stronger.

By chance out of guilt or some other idea Applestar appointed the dliuted ebon tom to be trained by the current deputy of the leader. The current deputy being a silly slacker kind of fellow. Not that he wasn't skilled or suited; sure he was well-liked and wise. But he was a little dim-witted when it came to the job of training.

Stormpaw was needless to say disappointed and blamed Applestar for doing it purposefully slow him down. But that wouldn't stop him from being great. The young adolescent threw himself into training like no one before or since had done. It was mostly self-training; his mentor eating and gossiping instead of helping.

The naturally gifted son of Yellowtail fed a growing pit of unrestrained hate against the leader the more he struggled with his mentor. But he was an intelligent sort of apprentice and was smart to avoid letting the leader know of his intense distrust.

Stormpaw went to his first gathering and there at it he perused the other apprentices to accidentally befriend a Riverclan youngster. The small, lovely she-cat was accompanied by others of the same gender who were taken by his classy persona. He would not be destined to see her again until a border patrol in his adulthood.

After gaining high proficient skills in all areas the gray and lanky tom became tired of waiting for his mentor; he demands an assessment. But the older lazy fool denies his talented apprentice causing him to become restless.

On the date of his 11th moon living Stormpaw again discloses his wants to take his assessments for the young male knows he'll pass. Skipperwhisker refuses, on the grounds of what Stormpaw is unsure. Rage burns in his gut bringing him to challenge his mentor. He nearly wins but is defeated by lack of vitality grown over many more moons. The evening tinted cat storms off, pun intended, to the medicine den where Tawnyberry gives him great advice on life. She gains his respect, and maybe more.

Early within the 12 moon of his life another apprentice the son of his foster mom is given his name and ceremony. The burly male brags to Stormpaw and uses the insult of the gray-toned cat's mother. This enrages the nearly full-grown youth to the breaking point of challenging the new warrior. They fight to an extreme where as Stormpaw is the victor. The ferocity of his maneuvers may have been impressive but it is instead decided that he is to be punished for his injuring the other. A two week suspension from training is given.

On the eave of his freedom from restriction Stormpaw is brought upon a patrol in which the participants were to run into two small dogs. In the fight Skipperwhisker is badly injured and another cat of his clan killed with limbs ripped clean off. It is then that Stormpaw expertly uses his maneuvers to dispatch the creatures and win the fight.

Upon the return to home at camp they are greeted by the leader who that night congratulates the gray fellow before giving him his new name for his intensity and determination.

He settles in to being a full warrior while his previous mentor is in the medicine cat den. Goes to his first gathering as a warrior and is congratulated in front of all the four clans.

During a routine and uninteresting patrol of no special importance Stormhawk meets the grown-up Riverclan warrior with who he was familiar with in his youth. The two talk briefly while near the river's winding edge of fate.

Another gathering of normal proportions is his to attend. There he meets again with his Riverclan she-cat friend to discuss recent matters and catch up.

Around this moon or so Shadowclan takes possession of a portion of the moorcats' windy territory. To which Stormhawk is aggressively against and vocally so encouraging Applestar to strike back. They do, and they also take some of Riverclan's land ending the friendship between he and his particular fish-scented friend.

Thunderclan and Riverclan are taken out in an unknown and quickly succeeding fashion by a new enemy named only The Alliance. Of those who flee is not his friend from before, instead he is only to learn of her death.

He does his best duty to supply the refugees with help although distrust of them does remain from previous encounters over border disputes.

Skipperwhisker disappears after a border patrol and is suspected to have been killed by the vary persons of The Alliance although no proof is found.

Applestar is forced to wait but a whole month before decisively declaring the previous one who held deputy no longer able to do so for being missing. In this cat's place no other but Stormhawk is chosen. He is surprised by the choice but perhaps the only one to be so; everyone in Windclan supported and expected him to get such rank.

He adjusts to being deputy and begins to plan with Applestar on how best to get back at their foreign adversaries.

The still relatively young male of gentleman demeanor continues to live a single life to the disappointment of some of the female gender, and perhaps a few males.
